With a history dating back over 200 years, yet offering all modern comforts, Salvin House is a listed Georgian townhouse in Alston. Located on the Cumberland-Northumberland border, at the heart of the North Pennines AONB, our elegant self-catering cottage can accommodate up to 10 people.
With perfectly proportioned living and dining rooms, wood burning stove, a fully equipped kitchen and four comfortable bedrooms, each with its own unique decorative theme, you will feel instantly relaxed when you walk through the front door of Salvin House.
Outside our Alston holiday cottage, we have a Cumbrian cottage garden, secure for dogs, set across three levels with multiple seating areas, wood-fired pizza oven, a charcoal grill, covered seating area and bee-friendly planting.
